You must be a fast reader. I did it one time - a small book. The Prayer of Jabez.

Yes. I can actually finish at the most, three novels, in one sitting. =) I guess you can call me a book buff. Plus for some reason, I just have to finish the book. I can't eat, drink or sleep well if I don't get to finish the book. Lol. Call me weird but I'm like this. I really have no idea why. Ü

There are some books that you read and you do not want to put it down. It seems to attract you and keep you focused.

I've done it. I think I read the first Harry Potter book in one sitting, as well as Among Grizzlies. I know I've done it with books that weren't as long, but there are too many to remember...

I have. I can sit for hours reading a book as long as it's a really really great book. I can read a 500 page book or more in about 2 hours. Sometimes less it depends on how many interruptions I encounter during the sitting.

Pretty much any book that is 150 pages or less I can finish in a single sitting. I can actually recall three books that I have done this with, Siddartha, The Alchemist, and The Magicians Nephew. I love to read and sometimes a short book that can be read in a few hours is a respite from a big thick novel.

Books now a day are getting expensive. I sometimes down load a book. Religious books and books about saints.

I can do it if I have time. Most of the time I'm busy with school, work, interning, and my home responsibilities. I usually carry a book with me at all times so that I can squeeze my reading in when I can. I flew to Seattle in December (from FLorida) and I read 2 books on the way there and 2 on the way home.

I can finish books in one sitting. In fact, this might even be one area of my personality that I am a little obsessive compulsive about but I can't stop reading a book and wait until the next day to finish it. I actually have to finish it in one sitting, even if it takes me hours and hours to do so. I am talking about fiction here, my favorite mystery authors like Janet Evanovich or vampire stories like Charlaine Harris. I can put down non-fiction and save it for reading over days, weeks, months but not fiction. Once a book catches my attention, I will be reading the entire thing in one sitting. I will stay up all night reading until I am finished. I have tried to go to bed so that I can get some sleep and finish reading the book the next day but I just think about the book until I just say forget it and get up and finish reading it. I love books but I have to be careful not to start reading one if I have any obligations that I need to meet. I think that I am a bookaholic or would that be a reading-a-holic?

I do this quite often, especially with shorter books. The Harry Potter books are an exception to that standard, I always finish those in one day...

Uh..most of the books I read I finish in one sitting *embarassed* There's only been about three books which have ever taken me days to finish..I'm just weird I guess. Those were seven hundred to thousand pagers. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I feel hungry for good books sometimes? Maybe? I just love reading, other than writing it's my biggest and one of my more successful hobbies, since I do those the best. Which might be kinda sad..but whatever.

I have finished a book in a single sitting. But the book had only 75 pages. But it is one of the best books I have ever read. The book is One day in the life of Ivan Denisovich. Regards

I rarely finish a book in one sitting. The last time I did that was about 4 years ago. I read The Body Artist by Don Delillo in one sitting. However, its only like 100 pages. I rarely have time to read without interruptions so finishing a book in one sitting is very rare for me.

Maybe Mitch Albom's books, but aside from that, I can't really remember having read a book in just one sitting. Two days or sittings (is there such a word? haha), at most.

It depends on the book. The longest one sitting book I read was around 800 pages. Took about 2 hours. Terry Goodkind's "Faith of the Fallen." book 5 or 6 of my favorite series of all time.

I always used to read my books in one sitting - unless they were over 600 or 700 pages. Now the only time I get that luxery is if my kids go to bed early and my husband doesn't need anything etc. It's a treat to be able to go to bed early with a good book and read it from start to finish.

I hardly finish books. I'm not at all into reading. But, if its a thin book with an interesting subject matter then i think I can finish it in one sitting.

I like reading very much but it's hard to read a book in one sitting. I did it once, the book was smal, about 120 pages, it was The Seagull Jonathan.

Um, no I can't finish in one sitting. But I can finish in one day though. If the book's really interesting, then I can finish it in one day.

yeah, most of the books i've read and liked were done in a single sitting. i can't stand not knowing what happens next, and i can't resist good books. usually when i read a particularly good one, i don't even notice the time
