Snoring is as a result of the obstruction of air flow – both inhale and exhaust, that happens in the part of air passage, where the back of the throat and tongue meets with the soft palate and uvula. The basic cause of the obstruction is the poorly toned or weakened muscles of throat and tongue, which when in a relaxed state may sway into the airway, blocking the free passage of air during every breath. :) funny fact, my dogs are snoring every night....

I agree with the theory that the age has something to do with the snoring. Anyway all the doctors tell that the most important causes of snoring are: 1. Allergies 2. Throat weakness causing the throat to close during the sleep 3. Mispositioned jaw 4. Fat gathering in and around the throat 5. Obstruction of the nasal passageway My dad is always snoring during the night...sounds like judgment trumpets!!

Yes, i also have been told by one of my friend that snoring has something to do with our age and according to him, even if don't have the habit of snoring we might start snoring when we start growing old .But, i don't think anything is scientifically explained for snoring and it's still a mistery ....why some people snore isn't it Anyway's interesting to note the doctors observations and got to see whteher everything is true here.... Anyways, thanks for responding
