Investing in a residental Property in Wisbech,Cambridgeshire.

I am wanting information on a residental area of Cambridgeshire called Elm,Wisbech. I need to know how safe it is to live there after many reports of this area being very high for crime of Stealing/house robberies/car thefts/ rapes etc... Would it be wise to buy property in this area or where can you suggest in the Cambridgeshire area it is safe to live. Best regards, SM.
