How did you spend Valentines Day?

How did you spend it. I was home in the cold and didn't want to go out anywhere. There were many years when I was very unhappy because I didn't have a valentine, but now I am very happy. Love to me is about loving 365 days a year not just one.
Any comments or thoughts,
1 - how did you spend your valentines day?
2 - Do you find it important, or commercial

Very commercial and very overrated. It's just another money grab. Like you said we should love all year round and do stuff for our loved ones all throughout the year and not just on one day.

it never ceases to amaze me how we buy into every commercial thing that there is. Bottom line, the rich get rich off of us.

I spent my valentines day by myself. Hubby works during the day. With valentines falling on Wednesday this year, he went to band practice after dinner. We don't usually do anything for this day. He did get me flowers the night before though. That was sweet of him. Valentines day is what you make it. I love my hubby no matter what day of the week it is. We do exchange cards though. Tonight all the chocolates will be on sale, good time to pick up a bargain.

spiritwolf52, I have to pass on the chocolate purchase. I am diabetic so it will do my harm that good for me. I think it is wonderful that your husband gave you flowers the night before. I just love it when men can actually remember these little things.

I spent Valentines day as I spend every day on my own. There was a thing on TV don't remember who said it if you are in a relationship it is Valentines day, if not it is Wednesday, It was a lovely Wednesday. nuff said
