My son is so sick,he has a temperature of 102 and his hands even feel hot.I never knew you could have a temp in your hands. As he cries real alligator tears,I (also sick) am feeling so helpless,I hate it when my little 15 month old is sick,I just want to do something, anything to make him feel better. The only think I like is that he is sooo very cuddly when he doesn't feel good, where normally he is not.Is there anything else I can do to bring his temp down besides tylenol?

One of the things you can do is put him in a cool bath, not cold. He may not like that because of the whole I want to be held feeling he wants. If so undress him to his diaper and put a cool towel or washcloth on his back, but keep a blanket close by in case he gets a chill, that way he can still snuggle you.

This is probably good advice for a 'normal'little boy...lol.My son hates the bath and I have found he does not like the cold washcloth either.Go figure.I think he does feel better just in his diaper and nothing else. Thanks:)

Get you child to eat citrus fruits, and lots of liquid. Whenever my 2-year old daughter has high fever, I put damp towel on her forehead to keep her fever down. We lay down on the sofa and watch her favorite cartoon dvds until she falls asleep.

thank you for sharing your feeling here, i haven't got a child yet but i think i would also feel the same if that happens to my child. hope i remember all the advices here so that i would know what to do in case this happens to me. It's really hard to be on a situation like yours, being helpless since you can't do anything to at least make it go down. btw, why didn't you bring him to the doctor or the hospital?
