It's Friday are you having Take-away for tea?

We often have either Chinese, Indian, pizza or kebab from the take-away one night at the week-end. This week has been the worst food week ever because Shrek went for a kebab after his tea Monday, luckily I hadn't eaten my tea. Wednesday was Valentines so I treated him to Chinese. Tonight he must fancy Pizza, he's just rang me to say don't do any tea. I'm having a chicken kebab because I get loads of salad in it so I can pretend it's not as bad for me. Are you having takeaway over the weekend, what's your favourite?

Yes, we often order out or go out to eat on the weekends. I'm thinking we probably will tonight,as I haven't been to the grocery store. Probably pizza. My peronal favorite takeout is Mexican.

That sounds wonderful, we have to go about 20 miles to the mexican restraunt if it's still there so it's a big treat. I hope you enjoy your treat tonight!

lasange - My friday night meal - lasange
I don't like many take-aways usually I find that I can cook something nicer myself than I can buy and they are expensive too. Tonight my daughter wanted to help me cook dinner so we made a lasange together. It is a very easy recipe and you just stick it in the oven so it doesn't take much effort. If you are interested the recipe is here: http://www.recipesforvegans.co.uk/lasagne.html

You are right and I really don't mind cooking and trying new things! I often do vegetarian lasagne which we all love but havent tried the vegan recipe, what a good idea thank-you so much, will put it on my list to try. This week has to be the worst we've ever eaten. It will not be getting repeated quickly.

We're both trying to lose weight so we're staying away from the takeaways. Having said that, two weeks ago we got pizza, and Dominos do the buy1get1Free thing if you collect it, so of course we ended up with two giant pizzas, more than we really needed to eat!

Hi Rainbow, no, I usually don't do takeout over the weekend. If I indulge in that it is during the week when I have much less time to cook. I love chicken kebab and get that at least once a month. My favorite take out by far has to be Chinese.

Nope. My husband has to work overtime so he doesn't want take outs, just coffee and home made dinner. If he doesn't work over time, we'll get either KFC or Seafood take out either Chinese or Japanese.

My absolute favourite take away is fried cod in batter and chips, but I must say that it tastes even better if you are at the coast. oooooh yum! I have had to cut the additives from my diet in attempt to ressurrect my immune system, so we make most of our own meals now. Other half makes a mean pizza and I can make curry. The only one I am a bit ropey with is Chinese cuisene, definitely not for the faint hearted! This weekend we have had guests, so Friday was home made pizza, with a choice of cheese, ham, tuna, sweetcorn, tomato or mushroom toppings or a mixture. Today it was a full roast chicken dinner with yorkshire pudding and tomorrow will be a curry made from as much of the chicken as I can salvage from Other Half's late night chicken sandwich munchies lol.

We seldom have take-away actually, but that is mostly because it takes us about 20 minutes to get to the small town near where we live and the choice there is hamburgers or fish and chips. Although they servce up a decent feed, it is not the most exciting fare. LOL The larger town is over an hour's drive from us, so that is just too far to get take-away on any day of the week. We do go there for medical appointments as well as shopping, so sometimes will have lunch there. Depending on the time of day of course, but we would usually choose a Subway or if later in the day, then we would go to one of the Clubs for a Bistro meal. These are treats though more than anything, because we don't have lots of money to spare so would rather save that little extra for when we go travelling and eat at home. Hope you had a wonderful meal anyway yesterday.

Our takeaway night is actually Saturday and we mostly have Indian, tonight we had the usual, I just have the chicken curry and special fried rice with garlic naan, it is also film night, and we watched the eagerly awaited Saw 2 which was on Sky films. I do prefer chinese than indian but it is better to go to the chinese restaurant if we have chinese because you can eat as much as you like for once price, you can't do that with takeaway.

We only eat out after a payday. We are paid ever two weeks. We were paid last week. We might eat out this weekend since it was Valentines day and we eat out for holiday if we can around a payday. We will have to see. Tonight we will have kielbasa sausage and will scallop some potatoes and making cheese filled bread sticks. Hubby is working for me tonight since he is in town anyway and his van is 4 wheel drive and the only vehicle getting out of our snowy since the blizzard day the other day. Tis ok, we are all together. Hope you have a great evening.

Well we usually only have take-away maybe once every couple of weeks but we had Chinese on Tuesday as it was my birthday and we had spent most of the day (7 hours) travelling home from visiting relatives so neither of us were in the mood to cook. As for last-night (Friday) because the kids are away for the weekend we had a nice home cooked romantic meal. For starter we had garlic bread with cheese then for main course I made steak done in the oven with mushrooms, red onions and gravy, mashed potatoes, baby boiled potatoes, broccoli and savoy cabbage washed down with pink bubbly by the time we had ate that neither of us was fit for pudding lol but I did have a bit of toffee cheesecake later. Today we are off out for the afternoon and not sure when we will get back and have friends coming up tonight for birthday drinks so we might grab some take-away on the way home.

WOW your lucky to eat a lot of take-outs. It only happens once in a while for us so yeah, it would of been nice to have take-out tonight especially in this cold weather. I had to cook dinner and I made snitzchel, mashed potatoes, salad and gravy. It was yummy though. My favourite take-out is Chicken or Beef Kebabs, Pizza and Nachos.
