I can hardly believe it! I never thought this would happen after all this time. I have been a myLot member for 6 months and finally have convinced someone to join. I have repeatedly sent invites to people and have never had any response whatsoever but now I actually have a referral! Let this be a shining beacon of hope to all who have a big zero were it says myLot referrals. Keep asking and keep sending invites. You just never know when someone will decide to give it a try. Now If I could just get her to start posting...lol yeah, I know I need to get a life. lol

Congrats! Keep it up. Use those referral banners and links too! You can use them in free banner exchanges and free link exchanges. You dont have to have a website to use them. You can also look at using your referral url in traffic exchanges. I have over 40 referrals and most of them were brought in from doing what I said above. Good luck to you!

I was quite excited with my first referral too. I now have four of them..but only one has ever posted. That was only two responses so far.. I wish I could get someone interested that would actually be a contributing member.. But I won't give up hope, I'll keep trying to get them all interested..lol Good luck it's seems to be a tough one..lol

Aw, I'm so happy for you! I do have one wonderful referral who hasn't been posting as much lately, but earned me like 9 dollars last month and some this month. But I would love to have more referrals, that's for sure - wouldn't we all? *laugh* I did almost get someone to sign up the other day, but they were trying tons of different usernames and coudln't find one that hadn't already been taken, so I think that they gave up. I guess that it's ineviatable that that happen, with over 70,000 registered usernames on the site already. I sometimes wonder how I even got my name 'shywolf' so easily. I use this name all over the internet, so I really wanted it here, and it would've felt weird to use anything else! Anyway, a huge huge congrats on getting your referral! I hope that they post lots and lots! ^_^

Yes, the hardest part is convincing folks to use MyLot once they have signed up .. I have been very, very lucky with my little 'team' .. not all are active but the others more than make up for that .. so thanks to all my little team ...

thanks so much for your encouragement... it really lifts me up... i still have a big 0 for my referral... but that is because i never send invites or anything to anybody and i didn't spend lots of time here... i am only here during my free time because i am working and it is to relax my mind after a hard day of stressful work... so, i guess i haven't been putting enough effort... anyway, thanks again for your encouraging post... hope you get more referrals soon... have a nice day...

haha. just like you, i had been here for 6 months. my first 10 referrals just signed up as a respect but never tried to post in discussions. it was only in january whe i started having 2 referrals. they are busy people so, i don't expect much from them. and yet, they do give a little of their time to discuss matters here. and i do appreciate their efforts a lot. well, i do earn good even when just working alone. but it's nicer to atleast earn something more through other people's help. and, congratulations! now, you've got one referral. you're right. never, never, never give up!

Oh I wish I could get more referalls. I've gotten a few but they haven't done much. I wish I could get some really active ones but so far not much luck in that department. I'm still trying though. As you pointed out we should never give up.

hello there. it's always better not to expect so much from people. it's not easy to get referrals. most people won't believe we are earning and some are just lazy to post in discussion sites like this. but it's not bad to try and invite people, right? so, go on and always give it a try. you will one day get referrals.

Okay, now I know for sure I've been being WAY too hard on myself. I thought I was doing poorly because I didn't have any referrals after a week (I'm comparing myself to some on here who seem to have, I don't know, 100 or something silly like that.). Now I know for sure I need to give myself a break and just keep trying. :-) Thank you for posting this discussion - it's very encouraging.
