I have helped someone out in the past. I let them sleep on my sofa couch and had them do the wash by me and take a shower by me.

I'm not big on helping homeless people out by giving them money. I'd rather give them food or clothing. Items they can use. Money isn't always spent on what they need, it's usually spent on booze or other items that are senseless.

Yes, I would be more than happy to help a homeless person. If they call to my door during meal time, depending on whether I thought I could trust them, I would invite them in to share our meal. My mum used to do this, so I guess I am following in her footsteps. I would also offer some warm clother if they wanted them and I would give them some money to go to a shelter for the night.
