Are you one of those who when you go in your house your house is just cluttered with stuff? I don't mean if you're dirty, but do you like to keep everything and your house is just so full of stuff? My brother is an example of one. I go into his house and there are plants and things EVERYWHERE! It's so full you always bump into something when you go visit. It's nice but it's just too full of stuff. I like to have my house simple with not too many things. How is your room or house? Do you like to keep everything and have your house full?

Yup, I'm a pack rat. I think my problem is that if something has a good memory attached to it, no matter how minor, I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. I have clothes I'll never wear again, enough stuffed animals for several stuffed zoos, curios that I never put out anyway, etc. And notebooks, tons of notebooks with poems written in them. I'm working on it, though. Every time we move (we rent apartments right now, so we move fairly often) I try to get rid of some stuff. I think I'm still several years behind in clutter, but maybe one of these days I'll catch up.

I've done the same thing. Kept stuff because I felt it had some kind of sentimental value but I started to get so frustrated with so many things piling up I got rid of most of it. I will still keep some stuff but not too much, or it will drive me nuts! Thanks for responding.

I was just about to type my response of "No way, there is no clutter in my house," when I looked around at my desk and wondered if you were looking over my shoulder. : ) Normally, things are pretty organized in my home, however it seems my desk has become a catch-all for everyone in the house! I like to keep things simple, too. I like being able to find what I am looking for and not having to search through piles of clutter to find it. So, if you will excuse me now, I must straighten my desk. : )

You know I use to be but I am the total opposite now. I use freecycle and cheapcycle and I get rid of so much stuff. It makes me feel so much better not having so much junk so I'm selling stuff online all the time or giving it away.

Oh yes I know what you mean I do have a lot of stuff I have a spare room to put my stuff in. But it is not everywhere all the main rooms are clean and kept in their right places, and you never go bumping into anything. There is plenty of space and room to move without doing this, but in the next couple of weeks I shall be going through my home and getting rid of a lot of things so that there is not so much.

I hate having a cluttered house. It just drives me crazy when there are things everywhere you look.I prefer to keep things simple and organized.I guess I just hate having to search for things.....that seems to be one of the side effects of clutter.....you can never find what you need when you need it. I tend to clean out closets and cabinets at least every few month....this way stuff don't pile up.I used to have a garage sale at least twice a year.....but now I just sell the things I don't need anymore on ebay and make a extra buck that way.
