why is life worth living?

February 16, 2007 8:16pm CST
I was just waliking home from the pub and on the way we came aross a car on its side with its roof cut off. On the floor was lying a young woman who didn't look very alive to me, she was being treated by paramedics but it didn't look very good. This has really freaked me out. Life is so short, you never know what is going to happen from one momemt to the next. So based on this what are you going to do tomlorrow to make life worthwhile?

Well smug life has thrown me a path that i live everyday to the full, every moment is precious, my kids are my life and i try my hardest to make every day special for them, because you never do know what the next day will bring. There is so much pain and hurt in this world just wish that people would turn round and look at exactly what they have, life is how you make it and many obstecules are thrown pn our paths along the way you can either choose to jump over them and carry on or yoy can stumble and fall behind them, i choose to jump over them. My thoughts are with this poor lady and hope upon hope that there will be a happy ending for her, it is amazing what the medics and paramedics can do now a days. My thoughts also go to this women friends and family whom may of as yet heard the news.

i think every moment you breathe the deepest you can is what makes living life worthwhile. of course there are always going to be days where you don't feel like getting out of bed, you hate how life is going and everyone you encounter just irritates the hell out of you. but those are the days i choose to put in the back of my head or, if possible, learn from. today is mine and my boyfriends 1 year and 11 month anniversary. i woke up today excited to see him because i find myself to be the luckiest girl in the world. these kinds of days are what make my life worthwhile.

life is really short, who had ever known that time that woman will have accident..for sure she herself didnt know it will gonna happen to her that day. i guess while were still here we should make the best out of the remaining. lets begin by doing good deeds for our family, then to our relatives and friends and to other people who needed our help even in our own little way. be happy and contented with little things dont grab on something that is too much of your capacity. but dont lose hope and dream. make each people around you happy and by doing that you should be happy within first. above everything live each day for GOD.have happy day to us all!!

I live my life as though my next breath will be my last. I also treat people as I would want to be treated. I work at a nursing home so I come in contact with people passing away. It makes you realize that life is short and you need to live it with that in mind. I love people and do whatever I can to bring a smile to their face.

What I do everyday; trying to live a life full of hope and adventure. Be kind to my neighbors, friends, relatives and strangers. Make my life an example to others and live as worry free as possible. Look at nature and thank God everyday for the wonderful things around me; birds singing, flowers blooming, children playing and the elderly smiling.

Hmmm...I am going to spend time with my kids. I have seven kids and I always look forward to the weekends when things are not so hectic with school and homework. We all relax and enjoy each other's company. This makes life worthwhile for me right now...my kids and being here for them while they grow up.

i'm going to make love to my wife, then we're going to walk down the street to one of our favorite restaurants. tomorrow, we'll get up and go to church, come home, change clothes and go hang out at her parents' house, have lunch and dinner with them, then come home. monday, we'll hit spring cleaning early and gather up everything we've noticed we never use anymore and take it to a thrift store for recycling. while we're there, we'll ask if they need volunteers next weekend. if they do, we'll put it on our calendars and move on. after that, we'll probably go to a movie. that drew barrymore/hugh grant movie looks good (so says my wife, anyway). life *is* short. just . . . live. do things. play on the computer, go to a movie, spend time with loved ones. voluteer somewhere. go to college. whatever. just live. :)

There is a purpose why we are here on earth. yes indeed life is so short. This is the reason why we need to live life to the fullest. We should enjoy every moment that we are here 'cause we dont know what would happen next. The future is very uncertain. We many feel good today but it can change even in just one second. We should live each day as if this is the last day of our life. By doing this, we have nothing to regret during our stay here on this material earth.

Well, my life is worth living when I received Jesus in my life. I know He assures me of what's coming. When/if it's not true, then that means I don't waste my time as much as anybody who doesn't believe any of His words anyway. That means, I'm in a win - win situation anyway. What I'm going to do tomorrow, is just as what I know how I would do today. Do my best, give thanks, less grumble, more praise to my Provider, live my life to the fullest, and when my time is up, no regrets. Enjoy the joy of life. Ah.. beautiful. I wish you all the best as well, smuggeridge.

Life is worthwile, good point that there are a lot of things out there that make it harder and unbearable, but to be honest, life is worth living for the things you enjoy, the people you love. Tomorrow im spending the day at home with my girlfriend, thats all but my life is worth living for that.

Quite honestly, life is not worth living without the purpose created by a relationship with Jesus Christ. This gives us a real purpose which would otherwise be lacking.

That would have been a sobering experience (excuse the pun). I think the most important thing is to stop, and think about life and instead of thinking about 'i wish i had more money, i wish i was thin and beautiful, i wish i had a nice car, i wish i could holiday overseas' we should think about how lucky we are to have food, to have the luxury of using the internet, to be loved by our family and friends generally just realising how lucky we are to be alive. Take the time to stop and look at the trees and birds, listen to the birds chirping and the rain falling. because like you said, our life could be taken away from us in a second, without any warning.

Ours is not to question why things happen. Just enjoy each and every waking moment when you can, and enjoy as many people as you can, because you never know when your number will come up.

I'm going to keep living the same way that I've been living so far, and try to keep in mind that it could be over at any moment, so i need to be happy with how much i've lived so far. If you really have something in your life that is important enough to you to donate your life to, in a sense, it makes your life seem more... well, I dont know exactly how to explain it. But yeah, just reading the news every day is kind of a shock back to reality.
