I Wish There Was a Way To Be Notified

Hello coolcatzz....I don't think there is a way, however, it would be cool to be notified when you responded to someone in a discussion and they responded back... I do know from your own topics, if someone responds to them, you can be notified via email..But sometimes that can be a bit much, plus you can simply go to your discussion you see them... I don't know if there is a suggesstion thing here to post suggestions, but if they don't have one would be a good idea.. Very good idea...cause I know I ask a questions myself to other people topics and never know if they responded to them.

I think someone mentioned this once before, but I truly don't know the answer to it. I know it is hard to keep track, but I get so many emails already notifying me of friends' discussions, that my inbox would probably overflow if responses were notified as well!

It beats me. You have been here much longer than I have, but I imagine if you write to the site owners they can tell you more about it. Who knows maybe it is something they haven't thought about and can implement.

As far as I know you have to go into "Discussions I've Responded to" and look through them and scroll through the whole darned thing. Like I said in another post, I think when someone marks your response as "Best Response" they should also comment on your response. I always go back to those and see if the marker had anything to say about my response. I also wish there was a way of being notified if someone responded to our comment. I think you are only notified if they responded to your comment if you commented on someone's response in a discussion you started.

yeah i agree i thought about it too it would be very good if that happens i many times like to see what they have responded to my response but many times cannot find it and i dont like talking to the walls i feel happy when some one responds back to my response i hope mylot is listening and adds this feature too

I agree! I do not think there is a way to be notified of this. I asked the same question a little while ago. Noone knew of a way. Maybe if the MYlot people read this they could make it available?!?

Currently when I have participated in a discussion here on Mylot I go back once in a while via the discussions I've responded to link. I too wish there was an easier way to check on any replies to our answers, perhaps through email, but I am uncertain how it could be implemented with resultig in a ton of email. Cheers!

I no you don't get time for repling to responses like this. I take time in a week and go back and look at the list of discussions I have responded to. I have a quick peek to see if anything has been added to my answer. You are going to miss some. But no one can keep up on them all.

oh I know what you mean ...and to search in here for something is a nightmare ...Why don't you email mylot with your idea ...I thinks that a great thing to add ... I do the same sometimes you find a fascinating discussion and want to read all the resposes later and you can't find it hardly either ...

Mylot doesn't really encourage us to comment to all the responds from the discussion we started or discussion we responded and I really found it odd because in doing so it makes the discussion healthy. Maybe that's why they don't intend us to be alerted when someone give a response to our comments they just send alert when there is someone who respond and not comment on our comment because they don't encourage us to do that and I really find it a little bit odd not to react to the answer or comment to the comment. The best way I do is to go back to the discussion I started or discussion I've responded and I allot a day just to go back to all my discussion I participated so that I can attend to all of them.
