what should i get for my birthday?

its my birthday on monday and i can't decide what i should do with the money i'm gonna get. I should really use it for driving lessons but part of me wants to buy a Nintendo Wii.
What should i do? Go for the practical but boring option of driving lessons or the fun option of a Wii?

Good question.. I'm in the same situation, I don't need a car where I live. The public transit is pretty good, and because I live only a few minutes walk from downtown, walking to a pub, etc is easy.
However, I had the use of my parents car yesterday, and went for a big drive around. Its been a year since I sold my car and moved to Canada, and for me driving again was so much more fun then a Wii will ever be; and the Wii is alot of fun!

The only advantage of getting my driving licence will be for getting a Job. I can't afford a car (i'm a student) and i wont be able to buy one for several years after (gotta pay off my student loan) A wii however would be fun

Yeah, the Wii's are alot of fun. I spent a few months selling them over Xmas and they are really good. They are the only new system I'd buy if I was buying one...

what good is a wii if you can't drive to pick it up or drive to walmart to get new games for it whenever you want? Go for the lessons, they'll get you so much more in life than a wii will...

i'd need some sort of amphibious vehicle to get to a walmart, doesn't sound very practicle. I don't need to travel very far to get the Wii because i live in a city

I think that you should use the money for driving lessons as I think that is more important than a video game system, which you can get at another time. Wouldn't you prefer being able to drive around to different places whenever you want, without someone else driving you or catching a bus? Plus being able to drive, you can go out and get the game system and all the games that you want and whenever you want. I would go with the driving lessons.

yeah i know what i should do but sometimes you just want to have fun. Even when i do pass my driving test i wont be able to drive anywhere because i can't afford to buy a car
