How do I determine my caloric need?

I am trying to lose weight. I have changed my eating habits to healthy eating and have incorporated exercise and cardio into my regimine. My question is, how do I determine how many calories I need? That way I can make sure I'm getting the correct amount and I can portion my food better.

You can go to the Food Pyramid website: http://www.mypyramid.gov/ Enter your age, gender, and activity level, and it will tell you how many calories and what portions of each food group you should be eating. I think the calories seem pretty high, but remember that excercise is important too.
