We live in a 2 income society for the most part. I was able to stay home with my kids and would not trade it for the world. Whether mothers should work depends on circumstances I think. Sometimes there is no choice. Quality not quantity is the key in these cases. If you spend quality time with your kids then most of the time it all works out. Childcare would be the biggest worry here. Finding a good and loving caregiver can be a challenge. I presently work a job that I do from my home office using my computer. It is not a high paying job, but I can work in my pajamas if I want and do not have someone looking over my shoulder. Something like that may be your answer. Here is the number to call if you are interested. It pays $8.00 an hour. Julie is the HR person, number is 800-628-0115 ext# 7004

No...no...no... at least women should not be required to work, especially when there is no need. I used to work but my lukewarm passion for my job turned cold after I had my first baby. Quitting my job was worth it and hopefully I would never look for another job again! Find opportunities to work from home should you really want to work... that's what I'm doing at the moment. Think about it, being a mum is pretty full time anyway...

I am in the same dilemma as you are. I want to take care of my kids and at the same time feel that I am not utilising my education properly. Is there any job opportunity to work from home? please tell me.

Both me and my wife work. It is very rare that we leave our son with a baby sitter. Maybe 3 times in the last year. We work out our schedules so that either one of us can watch him. the only reason I can see you working if you want to, is if you want to pay off some debts. Only you and your husband need to decide if the price of working will pay off.

I know exactly how you feel. My daughter is not in school yet but I feel like I should be doing more thatn taking care of the house. I have always had a job up untill 6 months ago. I hope that we are always financially stable enough for me to never HAVE to go back to work. I am thinking about homeschooling my dayughter and maybe by then I will have found a part time job that I ca do at home. I think that if you don't have to go back to work don't, put all of your energy into your family. You don't want to get overwhelmed by doing to much being a wife, mother and having a job! Let us know what you decide.
