Are you a Do It yourself type of person? Or do you hire things out? For instance do you work on your car? Things like change a bulb or replace a fuse, maybe change your oil. Or do you go to a mechanic? How about painting your house? Do it yourself or do you hire a painter?

If it is a fuse or bulb, the hard thing about that is finding the right replacement. LOL Most of the time, I am the one that has to do the seraching and replacing of the fuses and bulbs. Changing the oil? Nope. It is much easier and less mess to take it to a quick change place. LOL Now if something is seriously wrong with my car, I research and learn as much as I can before taking it to a mechanic. Women tend to get bad deals if they think the woman has no clue what they are talking about. Painting or other things in the house? Been there and done it myself. Let me tell you, stripping wallpaper is one heck of a long and messy process!!! And don't fall for the DIF stuff they sell that is supposed to work well on removing wallpaper. Even though it does work...it causes cancer AND is costly. Fabric softener diluted with water works just as well. Plus it smells better and does not cause cancer.

I am like beyond a do it yourselfer. I do all my own work on my car, apartment, etc. I hate getting bent over by people to do the same job I could have done in like 10 minutes. I think I got it mostly from my mom. She would always tell me how to do things around the house like plumbing and electrics and all that so I wouldn't have to pay someone to do it and I could save money.

I'm very much a "do it yourself" kind of person. For example, I took classes online and did home study which required me to teach myself on a lot of things and to enforce a lot of self discipline and independence.

I try to do everything myslef before I hire someone. I can change oil in my car, do brake work, change alternators, any little things like that.

I live in an apartment and it is driving me crazy not to be able to fix things and change stuff myself.
