advice

I've written a lot of articles for magazines, but never anything as substantial as the half of a book I'm co-authoring with a colleague. I know my question is pretty broad, but I'm hoping for stuff of the "I wish I had known / done this when I first started out" variety. So, what's your best advice to me?

There were a few times when I was younger and said, I wished I had done whatever it was at the time. So, to avoid the feeling of regret, I just went and did whatever it was I wanted. For good or bad, I still felt good by living/learning from the decision I made.
