You could always take his toys away if he doesnt care for them.

I would always take tows away from my sons if they didn't take care of them or would not share them properly and they could only get them back if they showed me the were responsiable to use them correctly and to share them with others.

When my younger children don't take care of their toys I make a big deal out of throwing something away and tell them the reason is that they must not want it anyway because they don't take care of what they have . This usually ends up with my child getting very upset with me but she does run around and try to make sure that all her other toys are put away where they go because she knows I will keep throwing them away on her . It is hard to do as we don't really want to throw them away and I hate seeing her cry , so how I usually do it is to throw away something that is already broke or that the pieces are missing to , she doesn't understand yet that this is what I am doing and only see's that I am throwing them away and this works in getting her to help out and keep her toys up .
Hope this helps and best of luck !!
