Are you disappointed?

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a great stroke of luck. Have you had that experience. I have. We were denied a loan on the first house we wanted, and friends bought it. We counted our blessings for years afterwards because of the difficulties they had with it.

Oh yes it happened to us a few times. I firmly believe things happen to us for a reason. The good, as well as the bad, if I can call it bad, it is actually a lesson to be learned. Let our stepping stones of the past, be our stepping stones for the future, and back to the disappointment, a blessing in disguise

I try not to be dissapointed for long, because I know that things are always working in the background for our greater good. I believe that all things in life happen for a reason, even if we never figure out what the reason is behind a particular thing. That doesn't always keep me from getting upset, but it is a great comfort and I really have grown in the way that I feel about life in general ever since I realized how true it is that all things in life happen for a reason and that all things, whether they seem good or bad at the time, that happen to us, are life lessons that we are meant to learn. I'm so glad that you didn't take that house, lol! I just feel sorry for those who have struggled with taking care of it, too :/

I try always, to trust in God in all things. That includes all trials and disappointments. I know He loves me, and will never forsake me. He knows tomorrow, I don't. Many times when I wanted something and was unhappy that it didn't happen, I rejoiced later, as God was in control the whole time and things worked out.

I went to my bank for a loan for my first car. It was a fabulous looking sports car. I can't remember the name of it, but it was big. I pictured myself driving around in it to the envy of all my friends and neighbours but I was refused the loan. I was on good terms with the bank manager and he told me that his brother had one of those cars and it cost him a fortune to run it and based on this, he would not give me the loan. He did however tell me to choose and different model car and I could have a loan - no problem. I eventually got the loan and my new car and I was thankful that I hadn't bought the other one, as I couldn't have afforded the repayments and the cost of the upkeep of the car. Sometimes the bank manager can be a good friend.

Yes, it happens sometimes. You get rejected for something or you can't achieve something, but later that proofed that was good for you waht happened. Last year we planned a vacation during summer, but my hubby did not get off from work as the amount of days we wanted. Thats why we canceled it and I was little disapointed. But when we plan it again after three months, he got off as many days as we want and we got a very good package for the vacation. We enjoyed it a lot.

The good savings on the package probably made it even richer.

No I have never had that experience but again if I don't get what I would like to me there is a reason for it. As you found out, because if you would have got the Loan then it would have been you with all those Problems.

Oh yes it's happened to me many times. I always say be careful what you ask for and there is a reason for everything. I was trying to buy a new car and I was so mad when the loan was turned down. A couple of days later a woman at work offered to sell me her sisters car for 300.00 and it ran perfectly. I used that car for a year and a half with no problems and traded it in on my first new car.....I was much better off having no car payments.

Things don't always go our way and they happen for a reason. Same with you, I had a couple of experiences like this, getting frustrated and disappointed of not getting what you badly wanted no matter how hard you strive to make things happen, but eventually I realized why it had to be that way. It could be that some greater things are meant to come our way or else what we always wanted could in a way get us into some bigger troubles. :)
