AMD soket 939 or am2

in the next few weeks, I'm going to built a new PC. I'm just wondering the difference in performance between AMD's socket 939 and AM2. I mean the only thing I can see different from the two, one uses DDR and the other DDR2. both are 64-bit. Is the Sempron's of both type is good enough to play strategy game like warcraft, red alert and the like.

ok here is a little help may be, like this, if you are using socket 939, you could use your old system, like you could use your old ddr memory, maybe hardisk interface, but I'm prefer with am2, since the live line of socket 939 is on limit, am2 live line still long enough I guess, I hope could help a little.

thats exactly what I'm thinking. hope about performance? do you have any idea?
