Here's the deal... Throughout my life I have in one way or another been complimented on my writing skills. Call it ignorance or whatever, but I've never paid too much attention to those comments. I'm in my early thirties. Most people consider that to still be relatively young but I have lived a lifetime... if you know what I mean. Anyway I would like to write about my experiences both good and bad. I'm thinking something along the lines of a few novels based on my life... of course I'd have to change the names to protect the innocent... and the guilty. I haven't taken any writing classes or anything like that. Anyone have any suggestions?

i think to become a successful writer, one must have a very wild imagination. because originality is what people look for in any article, story or novel. take for example jk rowling, harry potter became a worldwide phenomenon because the story is so unique. jkr even uses terms and names which she made up all by herself, and i find it so amazing that she was able to come up with such words. hope that helps, and good luck to you!
