who really thinks that math is essential to learn?

Math was my biggest nightmare! I did not like it at all! My mom and I would go round and round! I was so glad to see the end of it! Thank goodness for calculaters.

After a certain point in math--it becaomes pointless to learn. I think it is wrong for colleges to require college algebra to graduate--even if you aren't in a math or science field or major. This has been my biggest hindrance in college and in high school. But, since the colleges get money from your tuition from required and remedial math courses it is unlikely it will go away. This is what has been holding me up on my degree. I hate math.

I think we can't do without math, particularly the basics. That's the reason why we always take it up in the university even if we don't exactly major in it. Arithmetic is very important, and it's going to be difficult if we didn't know how to do the basic operations. As far as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and the like is concerned, these maths are being taken up in order to develop logical thinking. The higher maths we may not have to do but it would be good to have at least developed certain skills on those if we want to keep up with the competitive world of technological advancement.

Math is important because many subject are based on math,such computer science and so on.If you want to live on technology,I think you must learn math well
