Do you talk in your sleep or worse wake yourself up through talking in your sleep? Do you remember what it was that you were talking about ? Do you know why it happens. Lately ive been talking alot in my sleep, sometimes i have woken myself up and other times my hubby tells me to shut up as ive woken him up.

I will sometimes wake up sitting straight up in bed. It's weird, and it has happened occassionally ever since I was a little girl. I'll wake up and it takes me a minute to realize that I'm not laying down... usually I just lay back down and go to sleep. I remember once when my family was on vacation when I was very young... we were in a hotel, and I was sleeping on a roll-away bed. My mother gently woke me in the middle of the night because I was sitting up with my knees up and my arms locked under my knees, rocking myself. I think it scared her to wake up and see me like that, sound asleep. I don't sleepwalk, and only sleeptalk occassionaly, so I don't know what's up with the sitting up thing. My husband snores terribly, and talks in complete sentences in his sleep. I think the talking thing is hilarious, but I could do without the snores!

My hubby is the same and its worse if hes been drinking i get told where truck tyres and car parts are ( hes a mechanic and a truck driver) and i get conversations in what sounds like another language. Its realy funny as i now have a mobile phone to record him snoring and talking, the last time i did it he was in fits of laughter as he couldnt believe that those sounds could come out of a person let alone himself.

That's funny... you know, this discussion made me think of my mom and stepdad... He's a Viet Nam vet and sometimes he has dream flashbacks... he once grabbed my moms throat in the middle of the night, in his sleep! I think I'll take my husband's snoring over her husband's war flashbacks anyday!

Have you ever seen the horror movie "The Grudge?" You know the creepy throat sound that the ghost/demon girl makes? Well, I do that when I sleep. My ex stuffed a pillow over my face once because it creeped him out so much.

I have done that from time to time. It always startles me. I have even woken up screaming a time or two. From what I have read, stress is a major contributing factor to doing these types of things.

I thought that stress may have had something to do with it.

Ahh...the tormenting things that i use to do to others.Amogn them i think i can add a good beating..throwing fists or knees on the "victim" who slept with me when i was a kid.Now i just lay over my girfriend in a manner that she can't quite move sometimes...oh well. She's not complaining...so...night night..\(it's 5 AM here)

I am afraid I do, because my wife often says that I were speaking during my sleep. But I never am aware of it and hence could not recollect any thing. This happens mostly in such days when I go to bed at a very late hour. But I don't give any concirn to it. All belong to the routine of life. Nothing to worry about it.
