If you are a mother who breastfeeds, do you nurse in public? If you are NOT a nursing mom, how do you feel about nursing in public? Is it appropriate or not? What makes it appropriate? Do you think there should be laws to prevent OR protect a woman nursing in public? *dont forget to rate me!

I dont think there is anything wrong with feeding in public, i do think that you need to be discrete about it because some people dont like it. I used to put a small sheet or rug over my shoulder , it not only covered me up but also protected my babies from the sun if i was outside.

i am not a mom myself. i do think women should be able to nurse in public. When people react negatively to this i think it's often the way it's done that upset them. It is possible to do it discretely. By the way i have never seen a woman nurse in a way that i have found offensive. Where i live it's very common, and i guess we've gotten used to it.

I have two young daughters. From the get go, I have formula fed my daughters. I never had to worry about nursing in public. With that said, I see no problem in moms nursing their children wherever they are. I know from experience that when your baby is hungry, they are hungry! You don't have the choice to wait until you get home. Also, why should moms be asked to feed their children in the bathroom. Do you eat your food in the bathroom? I know I don't!! There are laws in many states to protect nursing moms, but I feel there need to be stronger ones.

I am not a nursing mother but I would have no problem with a mother who wanted to nurse in public. Nursing is such a good thing for the baby I would never discorage a woman in any way, shape of form from doing something that is good for her baby.

Nursing is the most natural thing, EVER. But keep in mind, that in society today, we have to be respectful and considerate of those around us. I am a mother myslef, and have had to nurse in public. You can do this discretely. I must admit, one night in hometown buffet, a woman was nursing while carrying her baby, and trying to make a plate for herself. Yes the baby needs to eat,and mom need nourishment, but come on!
