My daughter wants to go to a hotel nearby that has a reputation for being haunted for her 15th birthday. I don't know that I believe in ghosts, but would you do that? Do you think it might be damaging?

I don't know about it being damaging.. A few years ago, they aired a segment on the news about the haunted railroad tracks in San Antonio. I researched the story & found out where it was supposed to be at. The next time the family all met at my mother in laws house (she lives in San Antonio), we all piled into the truck armed with the "ghost detection" tools suggested on the news piece. All the kids (11 to 17 at the time) were excited to see IF the story was true and gleefully covered the back bumper in baby powder to see if they got fingerprints. We waited our turn in a long line of cars & trucks, and watched as each, in turn, was pushed UPhill and over the tracks! You should have heard the squeals of delight as our big heavy suburban started rolling uphill while the engine was in neutral! Of course, once we got out of the next vehicle's way, they all baled out to inspect for the evidence of ghost fingerprints. When they saw a few, it was time to get in line again. We didn't get to leave until they had been "pushed" over the tracks 3 times! They are still telling their friends about it whenever ghosts are mentioned! By age 15, surely she has read and shared a few ghost stories. I think she & her friends will have a very memorable time.
