How do you get a star rating?

How does a member get a star rating? Do you have to make a minimum number of posts each day? Do you need to choose best responses? Rate photos, probably? I'm quite confused. Anyways, do you earn more if you get this star status? Inputs are very much welcome :)

Users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation calculated, and will therefore have no star next to their name. myLot reputation updates once per day, so most users should see their reputation appear shortly after reaching a user rating of 100. Remember, myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, and it is cumulative for all user contributions. Therefore, myLot reputation can fluctuate even without a user participating on any given day. In addition, you shouldn’t think of a particular myLot reputation level as necessarily being “good” or “bad”. It just means that a user with a reputation of 8 is generally more highly thought of by the myLot community than a user with a reputation of 5, and so on and so forth. It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user”. Both are valuable members of the myLot community. As you might have guessed, the best way to increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid posting low-quality content or items that violate the myLot community guidelines. HOPE ITS HELP and have a nice day

You will be able to see your star rating after you cross 100 post.To see your star rating you need to log out of your account and login for it to appear on your user ID.you get star rating depending upon the quality of posts you do.

Yes, what the others are saying is true. You will get a star rating once you reach your 100th post. Once the 100th post is done, you will receive a star according to the reputation you are having calculated in a xx/100 manner. It is not known how mylot actually calculates the reputation of a person. But I suspect that the algorithm includes the + rating you receive in discussions, the comments you give, the quality of post, your best responses, and looking after the discussions you have started.

i am not really sure about the criteria for giving you the stars, but it certainly depends on the number of posts, responses you make or receive to your posts, and even the photos you upload do count for your earning. i think it all depends on the quality discussion you make. the administrators will be the best to answer you exactly about the scale they use to rate a member.
