Have you ever helped coordinate an auction fundraiser?

Just last week I was put in a position of coordinating a silent/live auction fundraiser for my son's school. The auction is at the end of March and is a very big deal. Last year the school raised $30,000! I am hoping that I do just as good of a job as the gal that has coordinated them in the past. She just no longer can commit to doing it full time. I am new at this and the other gal is walking me through things but I thought I'd also turn to my fellow mylotters. You always have such good advice. ;) Have you ever been involved in an auction like this or some other major fundraiser? What are some ideas? What works and what doesn't? I am looking for some high quality/high value items or services...do you have ideas or even some hookups? I would love to get a vacation lined up.

I have never been in charge of an auction so I cannot offer any advice for you. Good luck and I sure home you make alot of money. Be sure and write about it after it is all over.

Here is an excellent product for you promo. http://savegas88.myffi.biz/en/ go down to middle section and look for 'ECO-SHEEN' information and be sure to view the video. Basically, ECO-SHEEN is the waterless car wash. Excellent product to maintain your car, more importantly save the resource --- water. Let me know if you are interest, I'm willing to give you dealer price for your fundraiser.
