ya i totally agree with you. but if given option to see only
one cartoon and that too only 1/2 an hour. what would you like to watch?

My all time favorite cartoon is Calvin and Hobbs. I just love all the funny things they do, the way calvin reasons and think. I also think the drawings are priceless! The expressions of the characters alone makes me laugh so hard!

I prefer Tom and Jerry and Bus Bunny for the comedy. Even though the were just drawings, they make me laugh so hard LOL 
When it comes to fantasy or epic, I like the Avatar: The Legend of Aang. This cartoon is already modern but its story is ancient. Its story is unique for me.
For the action and technology, I like Ben 10 series and the new one, the Generator Rex.
