Two Foods for Cancer Reduction

Diet plays a huge part in our overall health. Here are two uncommon elements that you should be consuming to prevent cancer. 1. Dried or fresh rosemary. One tablespoon can stimulate enzymes that break down cancer-causing chemicals, including second-hand smoke and pesticides. 2. Fiber. Eating 20 to 30 grams of fiber a day reduces your risk of cancer. Plant-rich diets have been linked to the reduced risk of colon cancer, though nutrients other than fiber may contribute.

Dried or fresh rosemary is interesting kathy as I have just recently started to use this herb quite a bit lately and really don't mind it. Putting it on steak with slight amount of olive oil is yum as the taste goes right through.

Thank you for the info. I would also like to add these two items that helps prevent cancer: 1. Green tea - it contains a powerful catechin called EGCG that can stop cancer before it starts. Grapes - contains a powerful polyphenol called resveratrol which, research shows, inhibit the growth of many types of cancer cells. I love the scent of rosemary, especially when added on our favorite dish!;) Oats are also good in preventing cancers and heart attacks, and tunas are a good source of omega 3. The other food is actually a fruit, it's pineapple. It is rich on Phytochemicals that fights certain types of cancer. It is also rich in Vitamin C and Nutrients needed for us to live a healthy lifestyle..
