I saw that he was coming down our way. Have a great time. Unfortunately having three children and no one to look out for them puts the concert out for us. My husband always remionds me of "most people I know think that I'm crazy....." rofl

missy take the kids along, why not? lol He was great I must say and his voice is just as powerful as ever! Such a little fella though, but what a voice! He had his hair out when he first came on stage, but when he tied it back, my heart was pumping and poor hubby had to keep rushing off to take pics. How many pics. can you take of the same thing? lol Anyway a great night was had and my ears are still ringing, not a sign of old age though, as my ears would ring in my younger days as well! lol

Thank-you Kriss and I still cannot believe it as it is quite eerie that this has happened shortly after we saw him! Not sure how to explain it but feels strange!

I just made a post about Billy's passing then saw yours cara. It must be a very spooky feeling indeed. I hadn't realised he was still doing concerts but I'm so glad. I saw him on a show a few years back jamming with some of his contemporaries and clowning around. It was great because they were all feeling their age but making jokes. It was a very genuine scenario. So sad.

He certainly seemed to enjoy what he was doing and gave many people joy in listening to him over the years.

Have fun, but not too much of it. I remember him with the aztecs, but I am pretty old, so remember that sort of thing.

Gee BEL you do sound so old, pity my age overtakes you by a bit or two! lol A great night was had by hubby and I, but was not impressed when I got into the car and put the window down a little, and turned to see a Huntsman spider trying to hitch a ride through the window! Did I scream? Of course I did and hubby had to reasure me that it did not get in! lol Such a sook am I!

I was at Sunbury too!!!! Oh now thats a huge admission, we are dating ourselves Ha I just looked it up, I remembered that it was Australia day weekend but it was 1972! What were my parents doing letting a little girl like me out in 1972. Oh thats right, I lied to them and told them I was staying with a girlfriend and her family for the weekend, and her family thought she was staying at my house.

Oh I got drenched through to the skin at a Neil Diamond concert at the Myer music bowl sometime in the 70s too :)

Wow Kriss you were a "bit" young to be there, but how many of us have used the excuse you did? Well done, but do they know now that you went? lol I was living in the nurses quarters at the time in Melbourne, remember getting very sunburnt and sleeping under the stars, no mossies around then! Billie mentioned Sunbury last night and their were a few there that had obviously been there as well. The venue was at Torquay so bought back lots of memories to me and a great night was had! Even hubby rocked a bit as he is more into Neil Diamond and Gene Pitney!!!!!!
