hard disk format problem

i had tried to format my pc .after re-installing my os and drivers ,still the 'restart' and 'hibernate' options are not functioning. my os is windows xp service pack 2 please help to sort out my problem

my suggestion is to format your machine again with SP2 bootable disk....there is no other alternative I think..

I don't believe it's a virus after all you just formatted your pc. Just try installing Win xp SP1 and not the SP2. If the problem still persists get a new OS installer.

its not ur hard disk problem. its the problem of ur os u installing. ok i think u r not using a oringinal copy of the os(am i right.) try to get a fresh ccopy of xp frm ur friends where these problems r not exsist. do this , if the problem persist the contact me again. Best of luck

You have a virus I had the same problem and had a virus which was playing around you need to format the who computer.. and then install the os
