rear leg

last night my 5 month old boston terrier fell of the couch. she immediately started crying. i comforted her and felt the leg, no obvious breaks. i can pull down on the leg but she is holding it up....i am taking her to the vets as soon as they open today......can this be a sprain or could it be broke and i just can't tell where???

It could be sprained but it is best to get him to vet just to be sure and for immediate recovery too. Good luck and best wishes

It could be sprained or just bruised, i think the best thing is to take her to the vet to be sure. Our dog Jake did much the same thing and it was just bruising and a slight sprain. Our vet said just to leave it for 2 days and if he wasnt putting the foot down to bring him back for xrays luckily for all of us he was walking on it the next day, i hope shes alright, goodluck
