I love flowers, and think I'd rather recelive flowers as a gift, but if a person gives me fruit that's nice too. I like it when people are thoughtful. I know I could make fondue with the fruit in the basket, and chocolate I keep in the house. I love a good chocolate fondue.

its like two totally different things..flowers and fruits!! fruits wouldnt exhibit that emotion or freshness...just maybe the concern the person has for u. flowers show freshness, love,a new start,a nice feeling of happiness. flowers are something cute and close!! i prefer flowers. even a single flower would be as special as a bunch!!

Surely I really go for a fruit of basket not that I don't like flowers I really do but for practicality and for health purposes a fruit of basket was beneficial not only to me but for the whole family as well. Before during my teenage years I really love to recieved bouquet of flowers the thought of receiving a flower really tickles me lol! If the flower came from a suitor I then put in on the altar but if it came from the man I love I put all the petals on the diary that content our love story.

yes, we are thinking along the same line. fruits are fun to eat and they are health foods. we need to eat fruits everyday...lots and lots of them. as for flowers, they are good for the eyes and they make the heart happy, then they can decorate a corner. after a few days, they wither and so we throw them away.

i would prefer a bunch of flowers than a basket of fruits. i think it is much sweet :) actually it would depend if i am sick, etc.. still i think flowers are better cause receiving flowers gives a certain kind of nice feeling to the recipient.

I love fruit and unless the flowers is a potted plant, I would much rather receive the fruit basket. I love baskets and use them for everything. Live cut flowers are beautiful but they just die and it is such a waste of money. I do love live potted plants though

Oooh I didn't realize what a hard choice that is! At first I was all set to say fruit because that's something my kids could also enjoy. But then I just love flowers, they really perk up my spirits and every time we're at the store my daughter wants to smell the flowers. I'd say flowers wins!!

I think I have allergies to a lot of flowers, so I definitely would prefer a basket of fruit. I think fruit is a great gift when you don't know what a person might be allergic to or what their preferences are. Most people can eat most fruits, or if they can't they usually know someone who can. I also tell people to send me fruit baskets instead of those other kinds of gift baskets with the cheeses and things because I have problems with those foods.

I'm not a fan of the cheese and meat baskets either. I agree, most people can use and enjoy fruit as opposed to flowers.

i love flowers and fruits and it depends on who is going to give me either of the two. if it will be from a special guy, then i would prefer flowers. ^__^ if it will be from other people, like family and friends, i prefer fruits, so that i will have something to eat that's good for the health. ^__^

I would rather like to receive a bouquet of flower because it symbolize a love. For me, red roses is a symbol of true love and beauty. I love the simple beauty of red roses and its alluring effect to people. And also red roses is a symbol of my deepest love to my love.

I don't like to receive cut flowers because I hate to see them die. I love fruits though...all kinds. They're great for your health and a delicious treat... I eat them everyday.
