Do you think the movie "THE PATRIOT" is somewhat the same with braveheart??? Like when his wife was killed, wallace started to rebel also in the patriot, when his son was killed that was the time when he started fighting again.. the difference though is the ending.. in braveheart mel was executed and did not see his people get their freedom but in the Patriot, mel lived to see his country liberated...

yes i do think 'patriot' and 'braveheart' are alike in many ways, but these two films are examples of how good a director mel gibson is. also 'braveheart' is taken mostly from a true story of scotland, while 'patriot' ithink, is a fictional. has anybody seen, 'apocalypto'? this movie too is great. although in different language.

Although both movies have different timeline, culture and situations but they can be very closely related. It's not about the actor and the director that make it somehow similar to each other but because of its story. The Patriot and Braveheart were some of my favorite historical movies. Mel Gibson really rocks when he portray such roles in movies.
