Music on personal profiles: love them or hate them?

I hate them! I mean... hate is a strong word, I just don't like them then.. haha, I find them distracting, like when I go to a certain person's page then of course you never know what kind of music they are into then this loud music pumps up suddenly, it's just annoying sometimes...
I would rather not put one in mine... maybe a playlist would be better, but the ones that only plays when you want to listen to them. Not the ones that were set to automatically play when you visit the site...
What do you think? You like them or what? Or maybe your profile has music playing?

I agree that it can be annoying especially if I don't prefer their choice of music. Some sites are affected by the download time of music. It doesn't happen very often anymore, but in the older days of the net, downloading someone's pages could take a while. I don;t use music on my pages, but have helped others place a player on their web pages and set up a playlist. I prefer no music on the page unless I expect music such as a band's webspace.

Yeah if it was a band's homepage or what it is okay since it is expected but other than that... it's just not very pleasant most of the time

I have music on my myspace page but it does not play automatic. I don't like the idea of forcing others to listen to your music. I don't like it when I am surfing and hit a site with music and my speakers are up and I don't know it. It scares the crap out of me sometimes!

yeah! that's what I am talking about.. like when it is really quiet and you're not listening to any music at all then you suddenly go to a person's site then their music suddenly plays out loud! Shoot!

I do have music here on my profile in mylot, so I warn you not to go there if you don't want to listen to my music because it's auto-played. Meanwhile, I have music on my friendster profile with a video in it but is not auto-played. I guess I do get annoyed when others out them on an auto-play mode, especially when the music sucks (like those hiphop and rap in which I don't think should be called as music).LoL
