You should always eat 1 hour before exercising for maximum benefit. A small meal before exercising will help you in increasing the duration of exercise without feeling tired. You, should however not eat anything after exercise for about 1 - 2 hours. Instead, if you are feeling tired then you can have some lemon juice or even have a sports drink if you are feeling too tired. Otherwise, just a few sips of water is good enough.
