Pickled green beens

2 cups green beans 1 cup vinegar 1 cup sugar 1 cup water Clean and cook whole green beans. Place them in a pint jar. Boil the water, vinegar and sugar and 1/8 tsp. salt. Pour over the beans and seal jar.

I use this recipe for Italian peppers. Must try it with beans

When I used to pickle my green beans, my family liked the dilled version, it was a recipe I got from my mom, although I do not remember her ever making them. I canned them Used the long, beautiful,blue lake variety of beans.

This receipe is much easier than mine. I have to go through the entire canning process. I will save this one and give it a go in the fall.
