I usually do brisk walking when I am depressed or mad at something or somebody. Walking helps clear my mind and lessens unwanted emotions that I have. How bout you?

No matter my mood, I will exercise. I exercise daily and believe that it puts you into a better state of mind. I don't know if it's the chemicals released while exercising or just accomplishing something. It does me good.

I have to agree with you completely. I know that I always feel great after my workouts, even if my body is tired and I am physically beat down. I once heard that when you exercise it triggers something in your brain. Not sure to what extent that is true, but I would believe it if someone confirmed it.

If you can call cleaning exercising LOL When i'm angry i start cleaning the house, turning it upside down and giving it a good spring clean - I get a good workout and eventually it calms me down. My husband knows to stay clear when i'm cleaning LOL.

well that's really quite something. i feel i will have a hard time cleaning the house at those times because i will be a prick. like i wouldn't know how to do things perfectly and it would really tick me off.

I go to the gym three times a week after work, it's a great way to relieve stress. I do tend to do different exercises at the gym when i am worked up, upset, depressed, or angry. I'll turn the music up on my iPod and go hit the punching bags... or work on the bikes when i'm feeling down and just need constant movement. I also tend to go for runs in my neighborhood when i need a workout. it gets my blood pumping and also makes my adreneline rise.
