There are several discussions on Mylot that didn't get enough responses or attention inspite of being very good. Some of them were started 3-4 weeks back.Could you suggest ways to resurrect those so more people will read it ?

I have observed one thing that when you comment back in one of your discussions then it again becomes live and you get some more response as if it has come from back bench to front bench so it is a good strategy to resurrect a good discussion by commenting on the responses you have got.

Previously you could bring a good discussion to the top of the page by responding to it or leaving a comment to your discussion or to others. But it is no more feasible, The mylot admin is constantly changing and evolving. Now the discussions are arranged in the order in which they are posted. So it is impossible to bring a discussion to the top of the page once it is enough old. So what i found was the latest the best..only these get the responses better. I think it is better to start another version of the same discussion if you really want to know the opinion of people for that discussion.

Leave a comment of they are yours and they will come back to the top. If they are somoene else's when you respond they come back to the top also.

It sometimes takes a while, so don't fret to much. As you get more known here and get more friends you will find that people go back and hit old discussions of yours. I had some that I thought were good but didn't have any responses and I forgot about them and just went about posting here and being a good memeber ot the MyLot community and next thing I know those old ones started getting responded to. It is true that when a discussion gets a new comment or response it goes back to the top of certain lists on the site, and you could get some responses that way. I wouold say that you should just continue being a good part of the community and build up your posts so people start to notice you as well as approving friends, and before you know it they will be responded to.

I 'll do that :-) The good thing is even when a discussion is from six months back ,Mylot doesn't delete it ,if it's good. So,they can always be resurrected and pondered on.When the house cleaning happens we'll know how it works.Thanks,sunnypup.

Yesterday, I had a terrible time to look for a discussion I could respond to so I tried to dig a friends discussions posted up to 6 months ago and lo and behold, there are tons of them just buried in the past with no of just 1 or 2 responses. I responded to a lot of them and I saw some being responded to after I responded. It just needs a little spark to get it off the ground. Yes, If they are noticed by some and start responding, there is a better chance for them to resurface in the front pages.

Unfortunately the result in terms of earnings was anticlimactic. I anticipated an increase but it didn't happen. LOL

Some discussions don't attract lots of responds because during the time they post it they are still new and don't have lots of friends to respond to it. I really think the best way is to re post it again and quote as my second posts so other member knew that very same discussion exist weeks ago.

That's a great observation.I'll see if this solution could be used and if the previous one can be deleted by communicating with the admin , once the repost works. Thanks for the insight,maribel!:-)
