Is it ok just to post recipes here at my lot to increase discussion topics?

Hello all, i've noticed in the cooking interest that most of the discissions are basically just posted recipes, is this ok? i mean just posting recipes instead of really posting discussions that people can really give their thoughts to? not that im against it, but is this ok? just curious.. =)

Hello catcai...... Just posting a recipe is the same as just creating a list, it is not a discussion and eventually will be removed. If someone requests a recipe, or asking for ideas to improve, cut fat, reduce calories or similar things is a discussion and not against any policy that I know of. Be careful not to create a group of people that request and post. The pattern will be noticed and more than likely removed. Tom

hi, thank you for explaining, does this also mean that when you post something like that- a recipe or a list, you wont get paid for it? since it is going to be removed eventually? or you still going to get paid since you have posted it?

I have often wondered this too. There is a guy tonight who has posted over 50 recipes within an hour. He just made his 500th post, so now he can copy/paste....and boy has he!!! I don't see how posting a recipe is a 'discussion' but that is how many are making their money on this site. I am going to start copying/pasting recipes from my recipe folder...if you can't beat um...join um!! At least mine will be MY OWN recipes.

Hello crazynurse...... It is probable that all those recipes will be removed eventually. There is no difference between that and a plain list of things. Lists are not discussions. Tom

I like food. So if you do post recipes here, I think it will be popular. I am sure there are many food lovers and cooks here. Better still, if your recipes are original and worth the try.
