Do you and your spouse agree on punishment most of the time or is this a fragile issue in your home? Do you spank your child or is that prohibited? If you do what would they have to do to get a spanking?

Not at all. He does stick to my no spank rule and uses time out as punishment. From time to time we still argue about it.

I believe both parents need to agree with punishments or else the the kids will use this as a tool for insufficient behavior, and yes I believe a good swat on the butt never hurt anykid and I think that it should be allowed that is the problem with people they let the kids walk over them instead of taking charge of the situation a time out for kids is on the computer or in front of a tv that is not a time out thatis a pleasure cruise for most kids. time outs never work for me a quick swat on the butt gets alot better response along with a conversation why they got the swat on the butt...my kids are well behave and have never in any way said to anyone they felt mistreated they agree with us that more kids need a spanking....they say kids in school are spoiled and need a spanking...lol just something we believe in if they are way out of line then yes they need a spanking what good does time out do????

parents have to agree on punishments....otherwise the child will try to get over on the other parent, which causes conflicts....I know this from experience. I don't like spanking, a slap on the butt is ok for something really bad like talking fresh or yelling back at me; but nothing more than that.

We generally agree on punishment. My husband tends to shy away from it, and i take the bit in my mouth and dicipline our son. Spaking does happen in our house, very rarely, and not without reason. My son first has to ignore other punishments and/or do something very dangerous.

We tend to disagree a lot because his first response is a spanking and I have to tell him no put her in time out. Every little thing she does he thinks she needs a spanking. So I pretty much have to handle it or we get into a huge argument.
