There was a report in todays paper that I thought would interest people (no, I can't copy & paste). A couple in the north of our state have been married for over 3/4's of a century. He had just turned 100, and his wife is 98. These are their views of staying married for a long, long time: *Avoid Confrontations *Get quarrels over & done with quickly *Be affectionate every day, even a kiss on the cheek *Have a Casual beer *Punt on horse every now & then *Go Fishing *Be able to drive your car for as long as possible *Be a lifelong Football fan *Do as much around the home for as long as possible I don't think I want to punt on horses, but the rest of the advice seems good to me. Better show it to my husband.

Commonality brings you together Differences keep it interesting. Both of them lend to longevity. Fighting fair is the key, compromise for the balanced growth of the family, stay busy raising the kids together in their best intestest, and finally remember why you married them in the first place!!! Married 23 years and it seems that this is what works.
