Buy or rent DVD?

Which one do you prefer? I only rent DVD since I don't have enough space to collect them and I only get to watch them once. I am quite busy working and studying...the least that I could do to entertain myself is to watch a movie.

i prefer to rent DVD's. i don't want to buy them because i don't know if i will like them or not. i don't want to waste $20 on a dvd i don't like.

I prefer to buy them. I like collecting things, and a shelf full of movies just looks nice. Renting is much cheaper though.

used to buy a lot...but DVD is just going to be an outdated technology once again with HDdvd and such...ugh..tired of buying..just going to rent

It depends... If you like the movie very very much, you should buy it. and watch it when you want... as for a 1 time movie, you should rent. ^^

I used to rent before I got cable tv but now I usually watch whats on and if I want to see a special movie I will order it from pay per view, then I can even copy it for someone else to see.

i prefer buying a movie rather than renting, because in my country it is the same amount of money(or sometimes cheaper), to buy a movie and to rent.

i used to collect VCD's but since DVD's are expensive, i only borrow copies from my friends. i am also a movie lover so it is not practical for me to buy original DVD's.

we are just renting dvd. We can buy some pirated dvd's but you know, we dont have spare space for it anymore if we collect. It bring convenience to us if we just rented some of it
