It was many years ago when I was still in high school. The boy behind me in chemistry class had told me that he was planning on stealing the teacher's gradebook. I thought he was kidding, but he actually did it. When he was caught, he tried to implicate me. I was called to the office where this boy and his mother were sitting. The principal told me that there was some speculation that I had stolen the grade book. I was speechless at first, but then I realized the perfect answer. I said, "I'm gettting a B in chemistry. Why would I want to steal the grade book?" The principal looked at me, smiled, and said, "I guess you'd have no reason to. You may go back to class."
