Dogs + cats =?

Cats are so cute and cuddly, but they are fickle and will bite you when you have no more food for them. On the contrary, dogs are loyal and steadfast and they are your companions only. Anyone know if there are creatures which have the good qualities of both?

All animals have good features. But, since you brought up dogs and cats, this is what I think. Cats: intelligent, very clean, loving and affectionate, independant, and playful. Dogs: intelligent, loving and affectionate, & protective.

I am not much of a pet lover. But i prefer dogs over cats.I dont think it is easy to find another creature as loyal as the dog.So also it is difficult for all good qualities to coexist.

Maybe one day someone will cross-breed them successfully...

Oh I love both my cats and dogs equally, but I do not like the fact that my dogs like to eat um certain things then come up and lick me :D .... To prove my love of them.. You see plenty of photos of them, hands down the cats and kittens tend to be cuter than my English Shepards but I love em all. I am not sure being that the last dogs that I had ate all of my plastic dishes and even ate the plaster off my walls. And the cat that I had after she had her first batch of kittens she started pooping and peeing on my counters and my stove. I would really hate to think if there is an animal out there that could do all of this by themself,LOL.

Yesss...wizzzzy, my bunny is one of a kind. He is cute and cuddly, but will bite you when there's no more carrots in his bowl. He is extremely loyal to me and keep hopping around. He is getting fatter and bigger now...just look at my avatar...

I've never had a cat bite when I didn't feed them. My cat's are loving, affectionate, and loyal. When I pullup into the driveway, Chakotay gets on the roof of my car and plays with my hair as I get out, then rubs his head on mine. He follows me to the mail box and back home. All the others in the house come running to say hi when I come home. But they don't slobber all over me like a dog would. I think Cats, if you raise them right, are the best of both!!

Very strange and rare cats. You sure they are not remembering you because of the food? :P

I keep food out, so no one is waiting to get fed. I have always had loving afectionate cats. I raise them with love and affection, and they give it back times 10. I find it strange that you think that's rare. If you ignore a cat and they don't have much human contact, then what you described is true. (Like a barn cat or feral) Do you own cats?

I am sorry to admit that I don't know of any. At home we have a cat and a dog. The dog is very protective of us, always stays around, and she runs around very happily whenever we wake up each morning. What a refreshing and welcome sight.

I would say a rabbit has partialy both the carrecters, like they are obviously cute and cudlly, they will not hesuitate to bite you if you intrude his food habits, but they are very loyal and great companion.

Both cats and dogs are adorable pets. But I prefer cats, since I have pet cat lol. My cat does not bite when she no more food, she will just say meeooww and I will automatically know that she's hungry. My cat only bites my finger when she's playing with me. She is very cuddly, and cute like a baby, so I definitely choose cat. I had a dog before and he was also cute. But I prefer cat because they act like a baby.
