I love my dogs. They are 7 months old. I love them so much. But they are not my favourite breeds. What is your favourite dog breed ? What makes them your favourite ?

Having asthma I'm limited to what breds I can have. It's not so much the dog hair as it is the dander. Poodles have never bothered me before and that's all I've ever had tiil three years ago we bought a Maltese. I will never ever be without a Maltese as long as I own a dog. As broke as we are you could put one million dollars on my kitchen table and ask for my dog and I'd refuse you. I have never seen such a gentle, well mannered, loyal and affectionate little dog. NO amount of money could buy my dog !!!

My favorite breed is a Chow-chow. I have owned Chows for over 16 years and they are very good companions. They are loyal and dependable. Yeah, they are stubborn and they can hold a grudge against you when you give them a bath, but they are good watchdogs. I feel safer with my dog with me. Many times my husband is out of town, and everyone knows I have a Chow-chow in my home and I am sure they won't just walk in the door. Even though the only thing she had bitten has been the alpo in her food bowl. Of course, I don't tell anyone that. I also like the fact that they do not shed all over the place. She does shed, don't get me wrong, but it is in clumps of fur. Not just one hair floating around in the air or short hairs all over my furniture. Trust me, clumps of fur are so much easier to clean up. Chow-chows are a lot of work, you have to brush them all the time and you need to socialize them. If they are not socialized, they can become extremely possesive and can get mean when others come around.

Yeah, I love chow-chows too. But never had one as my pet. The climate here is hot. Hairy breeds can't survive this heat (Chennai, India). Thanks for your response Take Care

My favorite breed is Golden retreiver and German Shepherd. I don't mean to brag but he's a great dog ,smart, cute and nice. He doesn't bite and he loves meeting new dogs/people. I can't get a pic of him because I don't have high rating or something.
