time capsule

Sure did! But it's still kind of a work in progress. I need to hurry and finish it. Here's what we put in it: *Parenting magazine (to see if parenting styles have changed) *Gossip magazine (to see what was going on in Hollywood...just thought it would be fun since she's a girl and might be into that kinda stuff) *A paper from the day she was born *Cards from her birth *When she was born, they put her footprints on her daddy's shirt. That's in a plastic bag and inside of the capsule *We're also gonna write letters to her on her first birthday and put it in there Like I said, it's a work in progress, but we're slowly getting there!

I did not even know there was a kit. Well my daughter is sixteen there may not have been one back then. You would be surprised at the new toys and things that are out there now for babies and toddlers. I asked my mom the other day where all this stuff was when my Heather was a baby. Believe me she did not do without but the kitchen sets they have out now are so real looking.

Mom made "baby books" with similar items inside for Becky and I when we were babies.

I have a box of stuff that I have been keeping for my kids and maybe some day (hate to say) when I die they will open it and it has a lot of good times in the box and things that went on in their lives and mine while they were growing up.

I didn't keep a time capsule,persay but I did give my kids....I hve 3 left,on thier 20th birthday the newspaper that was printed that day,the weather report and things from around the house that involved whatever I was doing at the time .....it's great to have those things

my wife did that same thing but he made it into something like a scrapbook
