How can you help someone who has gotten fired from their job?

Short of giving them money, how can you be supportive and help them?

that's not easy to help.. giving money is not good idea.. just make they happy and suport they to get another job.

ill ask her/his to join in our company..to work again..giving money is not quite helpful..money fades fast..and i cant give enough money to save their living..job is better..to move on

Motivate the person, help him/her by giving references/leads of job vacancies, teach him/her extra skill, give him/her tips on how to answer in interviews. Ask him/her to be in touch with the suject he/she is specialised.

If you want to make them stand on their feet, Don't give them money. Give an opportunity for earning money. Thus they will be benefitted if they works hard for their livelihood.

i think, you could do them good if you find them another job. that way, they won't think too low of themselves.

You can help them find a new job. Go into places and get applications with them. Watch for places that are hiring and tell you friend about them etc..

just boost him ot work hard to get new job and help with food and money
