My cell phone. I only have a house line because of my DSL. I never thought I would become as addicted to a cell as so many others have. I used to laugh. Now I take all my personal calls on it and even have a ear piece so I don't have to hold the phone to my ear.

I perfer mobile phones because you can take them just about anywhere and keep in conact with the people that you need to keep in touch with. And as an added bonus they are really handy in an emergency.

I definately could not survive without my mobile phone as it is my link to work and family when I am out and about. I also think that my landline is just as critical at home as I really dislike receiving phone calls at home on my mobile. My oldest daughter who is almost 7 years old also uses it to call friends and my wife talks on the phone quite a bit. Along with these calls, there is also the times where I am "put on hold" for what seems like hours and if I were to use my mobile minutes, I would have to pay way too much for a mobile service plan that has more minutes included. So, for now, I think that both are necessary, at least in my situation.
