My Iguana's growth

I've had my iguana for about a half of a year now and he's only grown 2 inches. Is this too slow? because I read that they grow very fast. Am I not feeding him properly? I've read up on how to feed them right and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.

Do you know how old he is? They do grow pretty fast. You said you are feeding him properly but do you have the right lighting to help him digest his food? They need different temperature of lights and also a specific kind of black light for them to be healthy.

I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't think my iguana was growing very fast either, and I had him for about 3 years now. Boy was i wrong. He's getting pretty big now. I love him dearly.

As long as you iguana seems healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. If he's getting enough calcium and fresh fruits and vegetables he will eventually hit a growth spurt, kind of like people.
