A couple of things you can do is to eat margerine instead of butter but only the ones made from vegetable or corn oils. Also, if you drink milk switch to skim milk or 1% or 2% milk. Cut down on your red meat intake because that can increase the cholesterol. When you do eat red meat cut off all visible fat that you see. Also, read labels and don't eat anything or limit what you eat of saturated fats, that is the worst for cholesterol. If you eat a lot of eggs, cut back on those to maybe twice a week. I've also recently read that if you eat oatmeal everyday that helps to lower your cholesterol.
